The Hisway standard.

The details your clients may never notice are often the ones that determine whether a paint job lasts. Every client gets them.

  1. ProtectFloors, furniture, fixtures and surrounding surfaces are protected before work begins.
  2. PrepareDamage is repaired, surfaces are sanded, seams are caulked and repaired areas are primed.
  3. PaintProfessional application and consistent standards throughout the project.
  4. DeliverCleanup, walkthrough and a final quality check before we call it complete.

  1. Move furniture as needed and cover it with clear plastic.
  2. Remove electrical covers so they don't get paint on them.
  3. Move appliances to paint behind them, without damaging flooring.
  4. Drop fixtures so ceilings can be painted.
  5. Protect all flooring with synthetic underlayment that won't tear or leak.
  6. Protect carpeting with plastic and tarps.
  7. Remove window treatments. For custom draperies, we ask the homeowner to remove and re-hang them.
  8. Repair nail holes and drywall damage.
  9. Replace any damaged drywall tape.
  10. Completely sand all repaired areas.
  11. Prime all repaired areas to prevent 'flashing' or 'showing'.
  12. Caulk all cracked seams for a crisp finished look.
  13. Wipe down trim, ceilings and walls to remove dust.
  14. Repair condensation damage on windows by scraping, sanding and priming.
  15. Haul all trash away and return furniture to its original location.
  16. Vacuum or mop all work areas when finished.
